First Tommy Prince! Yes that's the same Tommy. I'm happy to hear he is so honored by the Princess Pats.

About Guerrilla Warefare (let's call it GW) I recall seeing a documentary about Algeria where the G's beat the French Army. The G's were organized into cells of 4 to 6 guys, some with a specialty (explosives, marksman, intelligence, etc) Each member of a cell knew only two other people in other cells, so in the event of torture they could give limited info.

One of the commanders went shopping with his wife, had dinner, went to club for drinks and went home. The color of his tie and eye contact with a number of people they passed or dealt with, tipped the cells off to an attack. They knew they had to meet with their cell to get the info from their cell commander. No paper trail, no telephone, no direct communication, and the attack was underway.

The conventional army on foreign soil has no idea of who or where is the enemy. That's why, in frustration, the US wiped out entire villages for supporting the Cong. But they still lost.
