I think even back to the 80's or 90's, it was rumored that there were places in Alberta that still had laws on the books where if you saw an 'Indian' on the streets after dark, you could shoot them. You can still shoot an Indian on horseback, if you are in a covered wagon, in North Dakota.

Yeah I remember reading that one about N. Dakota. I was like okay first off F'ed up and second what inbred MF would be in N. Dakota in a covered wagon in this time era. Though My Great Grandmother about 130yrs ago did cross Kansas in a Covered Wagon as a little girl. So Glad I got to meet her and listen to her stories.

That would have been cool! Most of my grandparents were gone before I was 20, and they lived in the East so I didn't get to speak to them much. But I did talk at length with the ex's grandparents, aunts and uncles, who grew up in Germany during WWII. That's why I am concerned at what I see happening in the world right now, because many of their stories are so similar to now.
