The fuel tax is suspended for 6 months, how does it change anything? It needs to be killed off just like Canada's carbon tax.

In 6 months it will be May, perfect weather for more riots.

Doing it in December just sucks.

If governments listened to the people who hired them to represent their interests, perhaps there wouldn't be a need for it.

Several media are now reporting the French gas tax is to be abandoned.

Meanwhile, in California, I'm hearing that Assemblywoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-Los Angeles) is proposing that the State impose a $1 per-mile-driven tax on all vehicles in order to reduce congestion, reduce carbon consumption, and raise revenues for 'clean renewable energy'.

She's not likely to get that into a bill but the fact that she's even discussing this speaks to the out of touch mindset of some politicians.
