DrCaleb DrCaleb:
CharlesAnthony CharlesAnthony:
Go stand on the street corner with a rainbow plackard saying "Carbon Taxes are good!" and let us know how your day goes.
There are no 'good' taxes, but governments have few options with how to limit products that are harmful or unwanted.
They only need 1 option: do nothing.
Only crazy parasites want the government to limit products.

DrCaleb DrCaleb:
Carbon pollution is no different, unless you think petroleum products should be banned?
Thankfully young people are not buying your parasitic lies. The clock is ticking.

Coach85 Coach85:
When we price carbon, we know that it forces companies to reduce their output or buy more credits to maintain, but the effect of the reduction in carbon isn't known.

It is well known.

WTF is the point of arguing? After decades of it, we've hit what you could call the Trump Supporter Syndrome.
No matter how much real evidence is put in front of them, it's not gonna be enough.
They've made up their constipated old fart decision and nothing whatsoever can overcome the immense shame they'd feel if they were to change their minds.

Shit, I've got a best bud who can't stop insisting UFOs and sasquatches are real. He calls me a denier because I ask such things as "why when a cop can't even fart without it being on YouTube are they still showing grainy Polaroids as proof" and "WTF would a sasquatch EAT? Tree bark and bugs? How could a humanoid hunt or bury their dead with no tools? How do you hide from SEVEN BILLION humans for hundreds of years?"
Bring me a corpse, a sheet of crumpled Unobtainium, a .avi that's as clear as your grandkid face-planting in his birthday cake. I would consider that.

There are some things out there that can't easily be explained, along with some modern video evidence. There is enough I think that it comes down to 2 possibilities; there is an unknown primate in remote regions, or, there are some pretty convincing fakes.

But I agree with you on the deniers. It's long past the point where the evidence is in question. All that remains is what we are prepared to do about it.

Multi-billion dollar programs should have an outcome and a goal. Moving money around with the hope that something might happen or change isn't a great idea.

It comes down to whether it's better or worse to do nothing.

Especially when upwards of 90% of "young people" believe climate change is a man made problem.

Maybe but that still doesn't make it true and given the fact that the rest of society hasn't had the "climate change" mantra driven into their heads by their teachers and social media there's going to be alot of people who actually dispute the claims of this new religion.

I see what you did there! 'Religion' implies lack of proof and relies entirely on faith.

However, that ship sailed when for months and years on end we had record breaking temperatures, month after month. And the amount of data is quite overwhelming. Raw, unadulterated, uncaring and unfeeling data.

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=cl ... ity+record

Where is your data, showing the opposite?

And if you read what was being replied to, I didn't say it was true. CA made the claim "Young people aren't believing the lies". When in fact, they certainly believe it. In droves infact.

And your right. It doesn't prove it to be true, because nothing is "proven to be true". What has happened is the mountain of evidence in the form of peer-reviewed research has created a theory that hasn't been dis-proven.

They need a better education then. Climate has been changing since before there were men.

What problem? I don't see any problem. Do you mean the prophesy...pardon me, prediction of a problem?

Well the previous generation caused the housing bubble, and the worst economic recession since the war and the one before that was convinced inhaling smoke wasn't bad for you.

Every generation has it's dummies, your dummies just didn't have the panopticon that is the internet to always be watching, allow the spread of their stupidity and to make it live forever. I mean shit, people in their late 40s early 50s are the most likely to be anti-vaxers. Those people are legitimate threats to other human beings. At least tide pods you only kill yourself.
