Haven't had Campbells' soup in years. I can make better.
I can make better too, but it takes time to make good soup, so I still use it once and a while.
Baaah! I can make a great potato and leek, or carrot cashew and ginger soup in an hour - all from fresh ingredients. Less for a tomato bisque, because I cooked it before I canned it.
Doesn't even compare to Campbells!
An hour is fine on weekends (or for bachelors), but when you've got kids, supper has to be ready as soon as possible after you get home so they have time for homework, activities, and bedtime routines.
