Still though, this is a pretty wretched story. From what I read in the article, the dogs were by all accounts friendly. One has to wonder what made them turn on their owner like that. As far as I know, pit bulls are loyal to a fault. Vicious when provoked yes, but not generally prone to random acts of aggression like smaller breeds.

I often think I live in a freezing shithole. If polar bears are a problem, you live where you really deserve to get eaten.

But sure a different story from the dog walker that was lost and injured in Coquitlam last month. 3 strangers' dogs helped keep her alive for 3 days til she was found.

Because that's what they do.

No, it isn't.

If you want some actual facts, watch "The Champions" on Netflix. It is the story of what happened to Michael Vik's dogs once his dog fighting operation was dismantled.

Spoiler alert: most of the former fighting dogs were rehabilitated and are living with regular families now.

The neighbour has a Pit bitch and she is extremely brutal, That tail gets going and she'll beat you to death with it(actually left a dent in the BBQ) or drown you with licks.

Probably the dog that frightened the most was a female German Shepherd my sister-in-law had. That thing would cower in a corner when she saw me (or any other male)... but I knew that if I turned my back to her, she would attack.

That thing was damaged. 8O

I've had occasion to work with allegedly rehabilitated people. They never failed to make me regret it.

Something stinks about this story.
Regardless, man has to take responsibility for the actions of any beast he lets roam free in his midst. Blaming a dog or a breed helps nobody.

I find it curious that man reflexively treats variations in breed of animals with racism that is considered both illogical and nasty when applied to his fellow man.

$1:
The Goochland County Sheriff and four deputies witnessed twenty-two-year-old Bethany Stephens’ two dogs devouring her body in a wooded area on the morning of Dec. 15, in a case that has captured international attention. The body was initially discovered by Stephens’ father the night before.
How odd.
A man discovers the body of his daughter at night in the woods. The next morning, 5 cops are watching her dogs eat her dead body. So........... what happened in between those events?

$1:
"The narrative that I was hearing from so many, particularly on social media, was so far off the mark," Sheriff James Agnew said at a news conference on Tuesday.
Oh, I get it!
The dogs are to blame!
