Good to see this meathead cop fired. But I wonder how long till he gets hired by some other PD with a manpower shortage or a chief willing to overlook behavior like this

Dude looked old enough that he more than qualified for retirement. Doubt he'll be heard from again, although with cops carrying that much anger in them he might make a blurb on the news some day if he swallows his own gun.

Apparently the RCMP is short of officers, this would be a prime location for him, he wouldn't even have to change his methodology or be competent. Furthermore, he could do these things and would probably receive a raise if he got his perp!

They are only short of bilingual officers who have heavy skin pigmentation or vaginas. The RCMP are under heavy pressure to hire as few uni-lingual white anglos as possible. They keep trying to entice women and visible minorities onto the force, but it's hard finding enough who are interested and can pass even watered-down tests.

The video showed her explaining that hospital policy required a warrant or formal consent to draw blood from an unconscious patient who had been injured in a car crash.

This is what enrages me about the goddamned liberal media: This is not a 'hospital policy' IT'S THE FUCKING FOURTH AMENDMENT TO THE US CONSTITUTION that requires a warrant to search a person!!

The fucking PIGS had no warrant and no probable cause to draw blood from a crash victim. The fucking bastards were doing this in a desperate play to try to avoid their liability in the crash by blaming the victim for anything they could.

And FUCK the SLCPD because those fuckers only took action AFTER the video was published. While it was still 'secret' they were toeing their blue line of silence and trying to pretend that the nurse was supposed to go along with this bullshit.

I'm glad that the cop has been fired but the fucking PIG who is the chief needs to go, too!!!

Liberal media? What do liberals have to do with this?

Not attempting to speak for Bart here, just pointing out the point that I think he was trying to make. When the story first broke the media was portraying the nurse as following hospital POLICY. The cop was stating that he was following the LAW. Everyone knows that law trumps policy. The media was (unsurprisingly) not living up to their job expectations. They were kissing law enforcement ass, and portraying the nurse as in the wrong. The fact of the matter is that the law was actually on the side of the nurse. The U.S. Supreme court ruled on 6-23-16 in Birchfield vs. North Dakoda that warrantless blood samples are unconstitutional. Even today the media is full of stories about the cop that was fired for arresting the nurse who "defied him" or the cop who was fired for arresting the nurse who "refused to violate hospital policy". None of them have the balls to print the story about the cop who was fired for arresting the nurse who was "following the decision of the supreme court of the United States and /or the Constitution", or the cop who was fired for arresting the nurse who refused to "break the law". Thats how it SHOULD be written, because thats the facts. The media should call a spade a spade. There is NO grey area here. The Supreme Court has ruled on it. Any law enforcement official who cannot keep up with Supreme Court decisions need to be fired. Not "let go". Not "laid off". Not "separated". FIRED!!! Fired for incompetence. Geez Im working myself up just writing this. I now know how Bart feels. Anyhow, not speaking for him, just offering my interpretation of what he meant. Now that I need meds for high blood pressure.

Thank you. You spoke to this very clearly.

The media also fails to remind us that the victim the PIG was trying to get blood from was a sworn member of the Rigby, Idaho police department.

Check their Facebook page and you'll see that they applauded the nurse for protecting the civil rights of their officer against the intrusions of a goddamned thug.
