BeaverFever BeaverFever: Apologizing for neo-nazi white supremacists. "Both sides are to blame ". Shameful. Apologizing? For Fields, you mean? No. What happens with him, happens. There's a possibility there may be extenuating circumstance, but like you say, he's a neo-nazi so no mercy. But as to the rest - the other neo nazis, the communists, the anarchists, antifa, BLM, whoever told the police to stand down - all of them need to be disavowed by your side and mine. You need to disavow your extremists too. I don't know where you got the idea that choosing ignorance makes you the smart one. Standing there refusing to see what's obvious to anybody choosing to open their eyes and look doesn't give you anything like the high ground. It just makes you look an ostrich with it's head up its ass.

Fearless Yazidi women call to unite against fascism everywhere. http://www.rawstory.com/2017/08/unite-a ... her-heyer/ $1: The female members of the anti-ISIS YPG militia in Syria were already badass enough — but their response to the killing of Heather Heyer by neo-Nazi James Fields, Jr. solidified their status.
“As women who have suffered at the hands of Daesh [ISIS] we know well the dangers that fascist, racist, patriarchal and nationalist groups and organizations pose,” read a statement from female fighters from the Yazidi religious minority. “Once again men of this mind-set, this time in America, have martyred a woman, Heather Heyer, who was resisting against the division and destruction of communities.”
Like the Kurdish militias they fight with, Yazidi women are targeted specifically for their difference by ISIS. Their stories of sex slavery are brutal — and makes their solidarity with Heyer and the counterprotesters in Charlottesville all the more poignant.
“We believe that Heather Heyer’s struggle is our struggle and that the fight against fascism is a global battle,” the Yazidi women’s statement continued. “For this reason, we are calling on women around the world to unite against fascism and put an end to terrorist groups like Daesh and those made from the same cloth that kill women like Heather.”

BeaverFever BeaverFever: Apologizing for neo-nazi white supremacists. "Both sides are to blame ". Shameful. As much of a critic I am of Trump, nothing he could have done this week would have pleased you. When he condemns all violence, you get upset that he didn't specifically name groups. When he condemns specific groups, it wasn't "fast enough". And finally, when he points out the TRUTH that both sides were to blame for the violence, you complain. Both sides are to blame for the violence. Full stop. Did one side take it too far? Sure. However, the left showed up to the event armed, without a permit and with the intent to start a violent confrontation.

When it comes to condemning neo-nazis and white supremacists, you don't get points for refusing to do so and then only doing so begrudgingly days later after taking criticism from all sides. It's not one of those things that you get a "redo" on and then complain that there's no pleasing your critics. And as I said already it's not like he forgot to condemn them he REFUSED to condemn them. He was asked point blank and he refused to acknowledge and walked out of the room. As fo "both sides are to blame" for the violence, these are not teo equal groups towards whom we should be neutral. One sode includes the KKK, neo-nazis and white supremacists, the other side contains people opposed to that. If violence broke out between ISIS supporters and anti -Islamists, nobody here would be trying to blame both sides equally or equivocate.

It doesn't matter what he said, it wouldn't have been enough for you. When you condemn all violence, hatred and biggotry and people are upset that you didn't name the groups involved, you know there's splitting hairs here. If Trump had of condemned all of the groups by name that were involved in the violence, it would have also included groups from the left. And we know, that wouldn't have pleased you at all. Just because you don't like the position of one, doesn't mean they're any less than other groups. This group is entitled to have an opinion, planned a protest, gained a permit and went ahead with the protest. The left showed up to this protest to hold a counter protest without a permit and armed to the teeth. YOU DON'T GET A PASS FOR THAT! It's terribly disingenuous for these people to show up to purposely disrupt a protest with violence and stand back as if you're doing some sort of social justice policing and cry when shit turns bad. You came to cause trouble, trouble happened and now we're surprised? Give me a break.

He's been widely condemned even bu fellow conservatives and Republicans for his response and neo-nazis applauded him First of alll even before addressing "who is responsible" he should have condemned white supremacists and what they stand for. That's typically what governments and leaders do. As I said it it wasn't simply an oversight he DELIBERATELY REFUSED in what's been the latest of several dog-whistles to the white nationalist movement. But don't take it from me, take it from Republican Marco Rubio: $1: And Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., tweeted that "the organizers of events" that led to the Charlottesville terror attack "are 100% to blame."
The white supremacists, Rubio tweeted, are "adherents of an evil ideology which argues certain people are inferior because of race, ethnicity or nation of origin.... When (there's an) entire movement built on anger and hatred towards people different than you, it justifies and ultimately leads to violence against them."
Rubio offered a direct message to Trump: "Mr. President, you can't allow #WhiteSupremacists to share only part of blame... (they) will see being assigned only 50% of blame as a win. We can not allow this old evil to be resurrected."

Not a chance. It doesn't matter what he said that day. You and everyone else would have picked it apart, word by word. The issue here is violence. Condemning violence of any kind from ANY group is what I would expect from my leaders. I was fine with what he said. BeaverFever BeaverFever: But don't take it from me, take it from Republican Marco Rubio: Everyone is looking to score points with the 'outraged'. I don't expect anything less than media-whores like Marco. As disgusting as the opinions are from the white supremacists that doesn't give the other groups a free pass from condemnation for their violent actions. Personally, I find it disgusting that you and the 'alt-left' are excusing violence because you didn't like the opinion of the other group.

1) Bullshit. It was a high speed collision. The front end of that car is destroyed. The back end of the other car is destroyed. It was an intentional attempt to kill as many non-white lefty people as possible. It does not become anyone to defend the actions of this person. Imagine how you felt when the same thing was done in Paris and London? You should feel no different now.
