She was supportung you FOG, mischaracterizing my position in a very "Forwards From Grandma" way. You over-reacted to her. Don't be so defencive.
As to your question to me:
You are aware that you can disagree with the subjective morality of a law, correct? Roughly 1% of America's population is in prison, overwhelmingly over draconian drug laws, that target the disenfranchised, poor, and PoC. Land if the free, largest prison population in the world. We are on our way to a similar crisis.
Fuck those laws chief.
Still think teaching kids to make meth is rediculous and has nothing to do with political correctness. But yeah, you can feel you've got the upperhand in this argument because, hohoho, laws. Brilliant.
The drug laws may be draconion but the point I was trying to make was that everyone should be judged the same under the law and not be given any special status due to their station in life. For example I'm pretty sure that Robert Downey Jr. has spent more time in prison than some of drug addicts from Vancouver's east side which, if we were to reverse it might be seen as unfair by the elites. Whereas others have gotten off because of their celebrity which is also inherently unfair.
As for the fuck the laws. You want them changed you're gonna have to work on it because, if it's gonna cost the gov't and taxpayers money or cause more perceived societal hardships than they already do they're likely not going to go for it.
What we need is more rehab beds, more rehab programs and more mandatory incarcerations for those who don't want to or can't get off drugs. Alot of our drug problems stem from the Provincial Gov'ts shutting down institutes under the guise of "re-integrating" their inhabitants into society which as we know now was a euphenism for dumping them on the street to save a buck.
But you're right teaching kids how to make crack is fucked up and hopefully that teacher is put out on her ass because there are thousands of good teachers without agenda's waiting for jobs.
