bootlegga bootlegga: Trump's three trips to Mar-A-Lago cost an estimated $10 million. That is a considerable amount of resources that could be doing much better things. Pick 10 random Americans and pay for their education...miss one trip...sad really.

Just give a gun to every Trump family member and let them take care of themselves... gee, isn't that what the second amendment is all about?

bootlegga bootlegga: martin14 martin14: Funny how no one complained about the money on Obama.
It's only now.... Hmmm...$97 million to protect Obama and his family for 8 years, $500k to Protect Trump for one day. Sure, that's what New York City is paying, but do you think they'll shoulder that cost for four years without getting some sort of funding from the Feds? I doubt it. Trump's three trips to Mar-A-Lago cost an estimated $10 million - even if he cuts that down to once a month for the rest of his time in office (say 35 more), at that rate, those costs alone will exceed Obama's entire security costs. But what's a billion or three for you fiscal conservatives, right? Even you should be smart enough to figure out $97million over 8 years for protecting Obama is pure bullshit. Someone is trying to baffle you with numbers, and you are sooooo greedy to swallow it. $1: Security Perhaps the biggest concern for the President and the First Family, at least in terms of taxpayer dollars, is security. Due to the extremely high profile of virtually everyone in close connection with any sitting President, a huge team of secret service security agents must be employed at all times to protect the President and anyone in the President's immediate family. According to the Brookings Institution's Bradley Patterson, these expenses were among the largest for the Obama presidency. All told, the cost to taxpayers associated with running the White House under President Obama was approximately $1.4 billion per year. Some facts to consider: With 31 trips for a total of 119 days abroad, President Obama has now traveled more than any other president, although Bush 43 and Clinton also set records before him. Air Force One Costs over $228,000 per hour to fly. The President sometimes travels with a 900-person, 45-car, 2 Air-Force Ones, 3-cargo plane entourage The 13-hour visit in South Africa for Mandela's funeral cost an estimated $11 million (including 127 hotel rooms and not including the flight). Annual costs for supporting the White House exceed $1.4 billion. http://ijr.com/2014/03/123748-money-wel ... obama-now/Bush $1: What's the daily cost of security for the American president? About 2 million dollars per day on average. According to former White House aide Bradley H. Patterson Jr. (in his book titled To Serve the President, published in 2010) the estimated cost of running the White House for fiscal year 2008 (during Bush's presidency) was nearly $1.6 billion dollars. Now about half of that figure (more than $800 million) was related to the Secret Service budget (accounts for almost 57% of the total allocated budget to that agency for 2008) to protect the president and the White House. If you divide that number by 365 you'll see that on average 2,191,780.82 dollars was spent every day in 2008 to provide Bush's security. https://www.quora.com/Whats-the-daily-c ... -president

That $97 million figure came from a right wing group, not some group of tree huggers or SJWs. $1: Judicial Watch, a conservative group that tracked the cost of Obama's travel expenses, estimated that $97 million was spent during his eight years in office. Take a look at the Judicial Watch website - it's full of articles on Benghazi, illegal email servers, voter fraud, illegal immigration, and other right wing talking points. If anyone would have wanted to nail Obama on his expensive security, it would be Judicial Watch. martin14 martin14: $1: Security Perhaps the biggest concern for the President and the First Family, at least in terms of taxpayer dollars, is security. Sorry, but I doubt the Secret Service pays for the chefs in the kitchen, the administrative assistants, the janitors or any of the other staff that keep the place running. But if you really want to compare the operating costs of the White House, then you need to give Obama credit for reducing it by $200 million/year (your own figures show it cost $1.6 billion/year under Bush). There is no way that the Secret Service paid anywhere near $800 million/year just to protect the Obama and his family - the entire Secret Service budget was $2.8 billion in 2014 and they are tasked with protecting lots of other politicians too, not just the President, as well as dealing with counterfeiting and other finance-related crime. I'm not saying that protecting the President isn't expensive, but Trump's family is much larger than Obama's and does far more travel than Obama's ever did - when did one of his kids ever jet to Dubai for a weekend without Mom and Dad present?

And you were whining about $97million only for Obongo's official vacations. $1: Hmmm...$97 million to protect Obama and his family for 8 years,
Trump hasn't even been on vacation yet, he holds meetings and stuff on the weekends. $1: I'm not saying that protecting the President isn't expensive, but Trump's family is much larger than Obama's and does far more travel than Obama's ever did - when did one of his kids ever jet to Dubai for a weekend without Mom and Dad present? http://ijr.com/2014/03/123748-money-wel ... obama-now/Even on the first lady's current “non-political” trip to China, there's news about excessive spending: Michelle is staying at the Westin, in an $8,400 per night suite, a hotel deemed unsuitable for Vice President Biden's trip to Beijing last year — because of its nightly price tag. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/1 ... 41510.htmlObama Africa Trip To Cost Up To $100 Million: Report Oh, but he made a speech, so it's a business trip. How about you wait for 8 years and when they add it all up, and then you can whine. It's just more fake news, oooooo so expensive.

Trump should move his family to the WH. That is the tradition. NY does not deserve the inconvenience of protecting the wife and kid.

Funny, I bet if I posted an article from Judicial Watch about Benghazi, private email servers or any of the other right wing cannon fodder there, you'd be fine with it. But because they dare question Captain Cheeto, they are fake news.

Agent Orange could ass rape a class of preschoolers on live TV, and his psychophants would label it fake news.

Seems that a lot of people don't actually want news anymore, they want a confirmation of their own beliefs/ideologies... and anything contrary to that is fake, of course.

I do believe you are correct. I was just thinking along the lines of the same analogy.

They probably come from the same place Holocaust deniers and Birthers do. We're really wasting our time with direct engagement. They seem to be doing the idiot routine on purpose, like all those overly-tight MAGA hats have choked off all the blood circulation to their brains. All we can do is compile the evidence for those who aren't so messed up in the head.

A YouTube video from a graduate of Internet University who forgot to take their lithium today? Fuck, that's all the proof I'll ever need!
