Getting elected as a backbencher by your local church group isn't much of an accomplishment, but he's just started his first year of university, which makes him more accomplished than a lot of the righties on this site.

Sad to say, but that is true in my case. I can't afford full time secondary school right now. Maybe in a few years when things pick up again.

Lemmy, while you are correct that our representatives should be mature, experienced individuals, there is something's to be said for having all age groups represented. Like it or not, 19 year olds are adults and do have opinions and have a life they are experiencing. They want to feel like their interests and their concerns are represented by someone from the same perspective as them.

There's that lefty smug feeling of superiority that ONLY a university degree is an accomplishment. Plenty of university grads looking for work while lots of tradesmen can pick and choose when and where they work. And you wonder why the working class thinks the left are duchess.

I'm Gen X, bro, so you're preaching to the choir on that one. But running a government is adult-work. It takes experience and the wisdom that comes with it.
