Public_Domain Public_Domain:

Jesus Christ, what. I just expect pop ads to be mainly about pop. A purposefully controversial and "easy" marketing scheme is not above comment and reproach. Good lord, what nonsense.

As Fiddle and the rest of the MRA here expect everyone to be okay with their feelings always being indulged and prioritized, to the point of brand loyalty over it.

Thanks for the smiles, chuckles. The only one with expectations here is you. In fact yours sound a bit like demands. You don't really expect them to be taken seriously, do you?

And I don't how I got labeled an "MRA", but what I am is a counter-SJW, and all we want is to be left alone.

If that involves getting a kick out of watching the silliness following a few nasty jokes being shared in an ad on a Guy-site so be it. Who made that your business anyway?

What are you pussy, beta-males and your Marxist, hairy armpit, chick chauvinist overlords even doing on a site like Joe? Checking up to see if there's something you can pretend to be outraged against, I guess. 'Leave those kids alone', or stick around and be laughed at. It's up to you.

For as long as we can hang on to free speech the rest of us are going to use it. If it should happen to bug, or even offend you and yours, well...that's just another perk. 8)

Versus having a very small minority's feelings prioritized by forcing removal of these types of ads?

Interesting.

I would be very surprised if only a small minority of women, hell, even (mature) men, think these ads are just peachy.

Than you should be extremely surprised.

Barely made a blip on the social media radar.

Suicide Squad's pre-release reviews garnered far more attention. And, that was for nothing more than people having different opinions...no offenses.

Funny, I didn't notice the ads until Fiddle started flipping out.

Flipping out? [huh] I thought they were funny.

You're the one the who wants the speech stifled. I got a kick out of the ads.

Now as to your request for lonelyhearts advice on how to get girls. *Sigh...* Very well, go get your little notebook and come back. I'm not a complete, nasty shit. I'll try to help.

Oh wait. You might not need me. I just checked my YouTube subs. 'Blonde in the Belly of the Beast' may be able to help you. Time for some tough love. Basically waiting for a pat on the head from the hairy armpit brigade by playing Princess Leia on a leash and a collar to their Jabba the Hut isn't going to work for you. Rejecting the hive-mind of the regressive left and growing a pair might.

"Feelings"

Jesus Christ, what. I just expect pop ads to be mainly about pop. A purposefully controversial and "easy" marketing scheme is not above comment and reproach. Good lord, what nonsense.

Either way, not the first ad I block, and not the last, so whatever. But I've known creative and solid ads, I know they can be done, seeing them take the cheap and basic way out will never impress me. It's a simpleminded ad for simpleminded folks.

"It's got electrolytes, it's what plants crave!"
See? There ya go. Instead of acting like a whiner, you merely blocked the ad.
As Alice Cooper once said years ago in a song, "You are the only censor. If you don't like what I say, you can turn me off".
If people are offended by something, that's fine. It's when they start demanding that everyone else should be offended is when I start having a problem with them.
Personally, I find a number of TV ads to be offensive but I don't go around demanding they be pulled just because they offend me. I'm not so fucking delicate that I need my feelings validated every 5 minutes.

Public_Domain Public_Domain:
Where, ever, did I suggest that the ads need to be removed or taken down?
I never said you did. In fact, I said you didn't whine (to the source) and merely blocked the ad. That's what mature people do. Hell, I block ads all the time, but I don't go whining about how it should be removed. Well, except one because it's a blatant lie and intended to direct you somewhere you probably didn't want to go. I see it everywhere too, "Fired Oshawa casino manager's 5 tips to winning at the casino" or some such crap.
Now, I know for a fact there's no casino in Oshawa. I'm also pretty sure there's not even a bingo hall here. So I guess there is a line I've drawn when it comes to ads, and it's when I know damn well they're lying.

You mean like 24 year old blonde 300m away wants to...
when your in a town small as mine and you know there's maybe 3 24 yr olds in the whole place - and you're so old bedding a 24 yr ld would kill you?

Only thing that gets me is how if something is clearly offensive and anyone complains people who are totally juvenile and insensitive assholes make up dumb names like SJW and pretend that they're the ones being wronged.

A lot of advertising is stupid. This is one.
IMHO desperate marketing for a desperate product. It will never catch 7up, Coke should've given up and dropped the brand and just sold Fanta lemon-lime decades ago.
