I hope the judge considers their actions when weighing their sentences.

I'm a bit mixed on this. Yes very good on them for helping the guard. As for taking consideration into sentencing.... I'm 50/50 on that. Lets say one of the inmates committed rape would you want to see him getting a reduced sentence? How about a guy high on Meth you beat the crap out of an old lady for the $15 in her purse would you want to see him walk just because he wasn't high and helped the officer? Like I said I'm very 50/50 on if their actions should be considered in regards to the crimes they are accused of.

Well, it WAS a minimum security holding cell so I'm not sure if any of them would have been dangerous offenders.

And a reduced sentence in the US might mean 50 years instead of 99.
