Ive been seeing them in Canadian Tire for about 15 years now. I think they made a comeback when the Green movement started to catch on.

20 odd yrs ago we bought a hobby farm, had over an acre of lawn. The wife bought a push reel mower and told me I was too fat.
Last year I ran int what Shep mentioned. The little electric I used on my city lot bagged out cuz the lawn was always damp and too thick, just bought a gas mower w 5 times the power.
I've used it twice this year - it pisses rain every weekend!
