I agree. And with the Hippocratic oath getting in the way, there should also be care givers trained who are not doctors and who specializes in end of life care.

The nurses already do the physical work, the doctor just prescribes and supervises. I don't know of course, but think it would be a simple matter to prescribe seconal based on body weight, then have anybody that knows how to find a vein do the injecting. I mean it must be simpler to prescribe to kill somebody than it is when you're trying to prevent them dying from your drug while still having an effect.
