I watched the video.I thought it made some good points. So far, I haven't seen anyone disputing the points made in the video. Yes. Not that equalization payments are based on unemployement...or that equalization payments would reflect any sort of economic change that has happened in the last month.

Not so much. That ignores the hundreds of construction & manufacturing jobs that will be required to build the facility that will be employing those 35 individuals. In all honesty, I doubt much above 15% of the subsidy will end up in SBI employee pockets.

The reason Ezra has been moving closer to the ignore bin, is because he actively enjoys, and promotes, using half-truths as debate points. Take Alberta unemployment versus Saskatchewan or Quebec. Saskatchewan has had a lower unemployment than us since long before the NDP, and we have fallen below Quebec due to global market factors that are not only outside of the control of any Alberta Premier, but factors that started, again, before the NDP even took office.

Same with equalization payments. That is a federal policy...take it up with Harper/Trudeau...

Finally, the subsidy issue. Let's ignore all the major costs that the subsidy will cover, and make some BS claim that it is just cronyism, lining SBI corporate members pockets.
