Leave him be, he's having too much fun in one of his little weasel fests where he's playing around with words while the meaning was clear. He's just trying to amuse himself.

I don't think it's that.

As a couple of us have said to him before, I think he has a problem with comprehension and his explanations are often only understood by him.

DrCaleb DrCaleb:
Klein and Wall (and any other Premier) may agree with the policy of resettling the homeless via 'Greyhound Therapy', but that doesn't mean they had any say or knowledge of the matter.

If they didn't have any knowledge, they're not doing their jobs. As you said above, they set policy and direction.

Yes, but they also don't know everything that goes on with the tens of thousands of Provincial Employees. Now that Wall knows about the policy, we'll see what he does with that information.

I'm betting very little. This is an old practice, to send potential drains on the system back to where they have a support structure. I doubt it'll change soon.

I found it odd though that they'd send someone who has obvious medical issues to a province where there is nothing for him.

Which is it? Do

Premiers set policy, as you have stated, or do they just learn about policy as it comes up?

They set policy, but that doesn't mean everyone in the civil service follows that policy. Now that this is in the open, we'll see if Premier Wall agrees with it, or changes it.

We had a similar thing back in the 90's Chicago did the 1-way bus tickets to Austin for their homeless. They even handed out broachers expounding on the great things of Austin to their homeless as they handed them the bus ticket.

I often wonder why there's any homelessness anywhere in Canada. If I were homeless, I'm pretty sure I'd be homeless in a warmer climate.

Isn't B.C., Vancouver in particular, one of the warmest places in Canada during the winter?

Classy! "Hey BC, they are your problem now! Thanks!" - Saskatchewan

How narrow minded and mean spirited of the people in BC to complain when people who don't have it as good as they do want to come share in their abundance. 8)

I understood Andy perfectly. I guess I am playing the long game, but Andy isn't.

Andy's been a bit literal and a minor grammar nazi lately. I'm just showing him he doesn't like it much when he's the focus of literal statements taken literally. Perhaps then he'll back it TF off.

Sure. Just like the top shelf of the door is the warmest place in your refrigerator. :D If I were homeless on the streets, it'd be on the streets of San Diego or Havana, not Toronto... nor Vancouver.

Hawaii now sends homeless people back to their state of origin. Too damned many of them pissing and shitting on the streets of Waikiki the last time I was there.

Can't have a tourist economy when the Trip Advisor reviews are telling people to stay away because of the filthy, stinking, aggressive, and mentally ill homeless camping out on the very best beaches in the USA.
