You know, I've always detested that very popular argument because it casts the rapist as a victim of some sort of need for personal validation instead of as the selfish bastards they truly are.

I personally don't give a damn about their motivations. I simply want them to stop breathing.

I don't think a rapist is any more a victim than a murderer or thief is. To commit rape is a choice, just the same. To be homosexual is not a choice, anymore than to be heterosexual is. To equate homosexuality with pedophilia would be exactly the same injustice if we were to equate heterosexuality and pedophilia had the child been female.

But, I agree, I reserve the death penalty for rapists and pedophiles.

Again, where the fuck are you coming from? BART shifted the subject to try and claim that Obama orders US soldiers to not intervene in child rapes, and I pointed out that the same military policy existed under Bush, and none of it has anything to do with the White House orders.

How will you show that the country "permits" it? By finding some anecdote of it occurring in that country? I could do the same thing for the USA, or California, or Sacramento. Not just the Catholic church but other "respected" Christian organizations like the Boy Scouts of America, that were protected and/or not properly investigated because of their political/social influence and a general fear controversy.

And of course we all hear the news stories of the westerners caught going abroad for underage sex encounters - none to my recollection were Muslim countries, it's all places in SE Asia.
