Big difference in overall business cultures though. In Germany the CEO of Volkswagen had to resign in disgrace and is facing charges. In the US any CEO doing the same thing would probably result in him polling higher in the GOP race than all the other candidates; that wasn't cheating and lying, you haters & losers, that was creative business tactics that boosted profits for investors and shareholders! Copy the German method on more things, except obviously on their immigration policy of the last few months, and the world would probably much more advanced on a lot of issues and not collapsing into such a mire of existential stupidity. Canada, for example, would be a lot better off by examining how Germany (and Japan) does things instead of our incessant comparing ourselves to what the Americans are or are not doing at any given time.
