If the rest of Canada feels Alberta's pain now, just wait till the Equalization Payments don't show up. ROTFL

You say it like you were out there making the money that made the payments.

Anyway, teach us not to get all proud about how financially smart we were having buried all that bitumen where we live, live like there's no tomorrow, maybe get a bit more humble instead of lording it over ROC.

With saying things like "come to Alberta because we've got lots of jobs for Canadians from all across the entire country to fill" being distorted inside the heads of twisted leftist fucks like you until it sounds like "lording it over the ROC".

To be fair...I never ever saw you say "come out and get a job" to anyone or act welcoming to would be inter provincial immigrants. I could be wrong though.

When I lived in Alberta there were a lot of people who were down on anyone who came from anywhere - and that was F'd because most everyone seemed to. Anyway, there were cool people too (rights lefts and centers). Nobody calls anyone a 'lefty' unless it's on the internet.

I get that warm glow in my heart, knowing it will always be there for me if I fuck up my current job. You should consider it.
This idea deserves more looking into.

I'm not sure if Albertans have considered this but there are some similarities between coffee and oil that may have been overlooked by some and an enterprising Albertan might recognize that the skills they have gained in the oil industry might actually be transferable. With some training and a positive attitude, there is no reason why unemployed oil workers like Thanos can't make amazing barristas.

1. Coffee and oil are both black.
2. They are both liquids.
3. They both provide energy.
4. They both require refining.

Aside from the obvious similarities, I think there are some real benefits to coffee over oil too!

1.Coffee has a low CO2 footprint and is environmentally friendly.
2.Coffee is not flammable and can be stored close to heat sources.
3.Coffee goes great with breakfast.
4.Coffee is an antioxidant.

I think these lists provide a good framework for just how easy a transition it would be to move from one industry to the other and I hope it helps. (Sometimes the most obvious solutions are right in front of our eyes.)

Let know if you need any help with prepping for the interview. I have friends in the industry.

The arabica bean seems to be on the way out due to disease. Coffee may go the way of Kuwait Coffee

I guess no industry is immune from risk. The idea I suppose is to always prepare for the worst.

As a salesperson, I feel like I have the protection of knowing that no matter what happens, something will always need to be bought and sold but I've had more jobs than anyone I know because of fluctuations in the market, fad industries, seasonal demand, etc, etc.
I'm off work right now but it was expected, my last gig was selling steel buildings so I knew the winter would die down. Being adaptable is a skill in its own right.

Dopehead whore-mongering old hippie cyclists will be immune from our jihad because clearly they're interested only in the welfare of The People! (trademark).

The companies and the provincial government made it very clear that the more trained arrivals that came here for jobs the better. Those job fairs they kept sponsoring across the country just weren't for show to cover up our natural Albertan cross-burning tendencies or fag-bashing or whatever the hell it is some of these snotty clods in places like Vancouver think it is we do out here in our spare time. I never heard of a single incident where anyone was driven away by some dick with a shitty attitude who didn't like Maritimers or someone from Ontario. The first pipeline crew I worked with was staffed by nothing but Quebecois on the heavy equipment. They did a great job and were all decent & honest guys.

As do all of us in the "Have" Provinces, just like the wealthy in the "Have Not" ones.

I think the proper term is called socialism and if I was to hazard a guess it'd be that you live in one of the "have not" provinces which would explain your comment. :P

Thanos Thanos:

The left in this country, the legion of Canadian andys that never ever hid their desire to see this happen, got what they wanted. Go ask your Saudi buddies, who you'd rather get oil from than see Albertans and all the other people who came here to provide it to you and have good jobs, to pick up the slack. I hope the catastrophe that's happened out here knocks the whole damn rotten Canadian house of cards down to the ground and that it lasts forever. If it finally puts a stop to the endless delusion then so be it.

So your tax and utility hikes are killing off what remained of your heavy industry?

Good. ha. ha. ha.

I have to say that if you are trying to garner sympathy, you are doing a poor job of it. Tell us a sad story or something.

Just trying to share and spread the joy. It's the Canadian way, or so I was once told.

True, but in order for us to really understand where you are coming from, maybe you could paint a picture for us, like how many miles/gallon does your hemi get?
