fifeboy fifeboy: N_Fiddledog N_Fiddledog: Prime Minister pretty boy Ahh, feel better now? Ya got that out without the help of psyllium powder. Good boy! Well...I would like to go into how you American Idol style voters who inflicted this substitute drama teacher on us to actually lead our country, but yeah, that'll do for now. In any case the actual issue here seems to be how the power hungry in the UN might try to use climate fears to create a kind of global EU.

But I voted for Claire Card, worked for her too. Are you saying voting for her was "American Idol" style voting? ![huh? [huh]](./images/smilies/icon_scratch.gif)

And now you feel obliged to defend Prime Minister Curly-top whenever somebody dares to speak negatively about him.
NDP, righteous defenders of the unworthy. Whatever.
Hey did you hear?

UN planning 'International Tribunal of Climate Justice' to take countries to court No, defending him would really involve standing up for some policy or other he tries to pass in the house! Early days I would say. Pointing out the silliness of mocking his looks is just that, pointing out silliness. I also suspect that PM Trudeau (oh that must hurt) can defend himself, considering what he did to Senator B. Edit

Fascinating... And hey did you hear? This just in...two things. Diversion doesn't work with me and... UN planning an 'international tribunal of climate justice' which would allow nations to take developed countries to court$1: UN document reveals plans of International Tribunal of Climate Justice
* One of three suggested ways to implement agreed climate goals * Draft by subsidiary body of UN Framework Convention on Climate Change * If approved, it will be presented at UN climate summit in Paris in December.
The United Nations may launch an International Tribunal of Climate Justice which could see states who fail to uphold the international deal to tackle climate change brought before a court.
The International Tribunal of Climate Justice has been suggested as one of three options to ensure that all parties follow what is agreed during the Paris summit next month.
The possibility of a tribunal was discussed during the U.N. talks in Bonn, Germany two weeks ago, among almost 200 nations, the final preparatory session before Paris...

My original reply had nothing to do with the thread topic, just your using unimportant physical features to mock a pol. About the actual topic: I don't think it will amount to much

fifeboy fifeboy: About the actual topic: I don't think it will amount to much I think you're going to be hearing more about that and other stuff like what they're calling "Agenda 2030" as the Paris climate conference arrives. I know Obama wants to sign whatever they're planning. There's already controversy about suspicions he may try to by-pass congress. Expect some news play on that one.

Edit: I think it's already started I drive a school bus! One of the schools nearby has a "no idle" policy in front of the school. A little old lady who lives across the street from the school times idle times and calls the bus company with the bad news. She has even been known to march up to drivers and giving them a tongue lashing and the threat of bringing her broom next time. Can you imagine what will happen if the UN gets involved

Well it depends how deep down the rabbit hole you want to go. If you want to get deep into the conspiracy theory you're talking global taxes, global police, dissolution of property rights, rationing, bread lines, eugenics, sterilization, state authorized housing for proles, the end of any illusion of free speech, cradle to grave inculcations of agitprop education and monitoring. Think 1984, but globally and without the warm, cuddly bits. For now though, we're just going to ask why will Western countries have to pay China and India for supposed climate crimes. If they try to lay that one on us again, I mean. But monitoring and enforcement of whatever they sign on to will be the real immediate danger. That's the top of the hill to the slippery slope.

DrCaleb DrCaleb: Freakinoldguy Freakinoldguy: If they'd said execute anyone who didn't comply I'd have thought this was a David Suzuki proposal. Why would you think that? Because he started off with mild consensus building things like this and the next step up from that is what? http://www.nationalpost.com/Jail+politi ... story.html

Delwin Delwin: I guess some people just aren't willing to sell out their children's future for short term monetary gain. Weirdos. And if Justin fails to meet the UN's goals will you be the first in line to have him tossed in some Hague prison for these newly minted environmental criminals?
