Why are we involved in this perpetual endless war economy .

Despite the left's most ardent wishes Canada has never had a military comprised of "Peace Keepers". What we had was a military made up of highly trained warriors who in some cases, were placed in positions of extreme danger in order to keep warring factions apart.

So, saying our Military has suddenly veered from it's mandate and become warlike is utter fucking bullshit and if the people claiming this ever did military service they'd find out that everything about the training is almost exclusively geared towards making war, extending the Canadian Gov'ts foreign policies and in a pinch, acting as an Aid to Civil Power. Peacekeeping came in far behind those other requirements.

In my entire military career starting in the Trudeau years and finishing with the Chretien ones I can't remember one instance were anyone was told to put down their guns and pick up a copy of "mediation for dummies" because they were off to stop a war.
