Remember this thread and your posts when you complain about some animal rights freak in the USA kvetching about culling baby seals or hunting polar bears.

We will, because both of those animals are taken for food, not trophies.

People hunt polar bears for food?

Their endangered almost, aren't they?

Do Inuit eat polar bear? That I can see, but some guy from Toronto ?

Is bear meat something an urbanite would want to eat ?

andyt andyt:
Seals are mostly taken for their fur. Lots of trophy hunters go after polar bears. Do inuit eat polar bear? Sounds awful. And the liver is toxic because of the high vit A levels - people have died eating it.

Seals are taken for income from the pelts, but neither Newfies nor Innu will throw out the meat, because it's likely the only fresh meat they get. Just ask a Newf about Seal Flipper pie!

And Innu eat polar bear. I've eaten black bear, and it's really fatty but excellent when mixed with beef and or pork. Makes great sausage. And the Innu prize the Polar bear fur as well. It used to be highly prized when they traded with Nordic traders. Polar Bear fur made Kings out of fishermen. :)

I hope they extradite this POS to Zimbabwe and let him endure some third world prison time. Of course, he's going to skate.

$1:
MN dentist accused in lion death had history of violations

Federal records show he pleaded guilty in 2008 to making false statements to a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service agent in Wisconsin after he killed a black bear about 40 miles outside where he was permitted to hunt. State court records also show Palmer was cited in 2003 in Otter Tail County for fishing without a license.

Your explanation will be irrelevant to vegan animal rights activists.

And they'll have a point, when the Labradorians and Innu have anything else to eat. If 'salad' weren't rotten and $50 a plate by the time it gets to them, they wouldn't have to eat seals.

Well let's not pretend that seal hunters are just Labradorians and Innu. Most are off-season fishermen from the Maritimes mainland.

. . .who have to supplement their fishing income with seal pelts because militant Vegans have boycotted places that sell their fish because they hunt seals! ;)

I'm considering switching my diet to include fresh cuts of vegetarians.

I'm also looking for a decent vegan-pelt jacket for the upcoming winter.

If the Vegans didn't boycott Atlantic Canadian fish products because the fishermen supplement their income with seal pelts, then the fishermen wouldn't have to hunt seals for their pelts. Better?

[/quote]

1) Is there some massive boycott of Atlantic fish that is hurting fishermen?

2) Don't the Vegans also boycott seal products?

To get back on topic, this piece of shit has been cited several times breaking the rules/laws. At the very least he should not be allowed to hunt ANYTHING for the rest of his life. The fact that he's a trophy hunter just makes it that much worse.

He has money, therefore he gets away with anything he wants. That's the way this world works. Have a big enough bank account and any stupid evil bastard, like the fucker in this story, will never be held to consequences for anything.

Zipperfish Zipperfish:
This will be one lion-sized internet shaming party.

Well this guy doesn't seem to have any kind of online presence or took it down quickly if he did. His Dental Clinic's Yelp page is taking a beating however, run down to one star with lots of comments such as:

$1:
Dr. Palmer successfully fondled my genitals! Five stars! I showed him one glimpse of my lion briefs and he just couldn't help himself!

Oh man, sucks to be you. Bastards like you give dentistry a bad name. -- Angry Dental Student

$1:
I used to think it was unethical to post fake reviews on Yelp, so even when I felt inclined, I refrained.

You know what else is unethical? Slaying helpless endangered animals.

Do NOT contribute to this business unless you want to have blood on your hands too.

$1:
It takes a true sportsman to pay a couple of dudes to drag the carcass of a dead animal behind a jeep as bait to lure a lion out of hiding in the middle of the night, then when the lion shows itself, from your widdle hidey-hole take a cheap shot with a crossbow, injuring the animal.

As you've failed to kill the animal as a result of your general incompetent impotence, you then find it 40 hours later where you finish it off with a rifle. After trying and then failing to destroy the animal's tracking collar, you skin the carcass, and leave the remains to rot.

Just the kind of loving dentistry you can expect from Dr. Palmer at River Bluff Dental, and you can sleep soundly at night knowing that he literally spends your money on safari to illegally kill threatened wildlife from a deer blind. What a hunter! What a champion of man! A conservationist who cares, if ever there was one.
