If things get worse, it wouldn't surprise me to see a few of the illegals hanging from lamp posts along the ferry approaches. If the authorities refuse to do anything, vigilantism may ensue.

I don't know about Britain, but Italy would love to deport the people flooding their shores. AFAIK, it's about finding a country that will take them.

Doubtful. Whatever cops are assembled are probably there as much to keep the locals in line as they are to prevent the 'migrants' from doing stuff 'n' thangs. Given the nature of both France and Britain now a Defcon-1 level bongo party could erupt that burnt Calais to the ground and cause the Chunnel to collapse and they'd still do absolutely nothing. In the wake of Charlie Hebdo and only a couple of years after the public decapitation of Lee Rigby, as well as the Rotherham, debacle, and the sons of bitches in charge of both countries still haven't learned anything.
