He'll be watched for the rest of his life. Taqiyyah/idtirar mean that his 'repentance' will always be held suspect.

I admit I didn't watch it, but after listening to a bunch of the rednecks I played hockey with last night and this thread.........I may take the time.
There was interviews or reports from US soldiers that were there?

Yes. From the medic who treated him, from soldiers who were his guards and from a US Brigadier General. As well as the JAG Colonel who was in charge of his prosecution.

There is a link in the story posted to "Watch:" the documentary online.

I don't think he represents much danger to Canada, even if he's the wildest frothing jihadi. He can barely see, he's not going to launch an attack. He doesn't seem to be some tactical genius who can plot for others. Mostly he could be a figurehead and inspiration to the other numbnuts. That's pretty easy to spot.

The Left's Love Fest For Omar Khadr Continues as He tells His Guantanamo Story in New CBC Propaganda.

I thought that was a picture of you watching kids get tortured on the internet.

Here's one the Canadian Brainwashing Corporation forgot to tell you guys about.

It produced it's Ode to Omar tale in collaboration with Al Jazeera.

$1:
The interview was part of a documentary called Guantanamo's Child - Omar Khadr, a collaboration between Al Jazeera and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, which airs on Al Jazeera English on June 7.

If it didn't matter, why did they try to hide it?

I just watched it. It doesn't try defend what he did or thinks he did and some of it is kind of fluffy, like watching him eat breakfast etc. I've always reserved judgment of a situation until I've heard from people who were there. This has some of that and was probably more interesting than the political hashing before and after. Hard to believe he survived after seeing him post horse shoe tossing. The body is an amazing thing.
Think his mother and sister still need lead poisoning.

At least you took the time and made up your own mind, rather than let someone make it up for you.

Agreed. But, botulism poisoning. It's slower.

So, what did you guys think of the documentary?

Didn't watch it. I refuse to watch anything about that family, unless it was their public execution.

This!

I had no plans to watch is either, but after listening to some of the Keewatin Kinsmen Klub guys last night, it tweaked my interest. For all he said, which wasn't that much, I found it kind of bland and almost child like.

That's just the thing about this one. It wasn't out to defend him or change the story, it was more or less the back ground. It's more about what happened after that and why.

Confirmation bias is like that. Even if facts are presented that contradict people's beliefs, it will only serve to strengthen that belief. We are strange animals!

Much like a person who has spent their entire adult life so far in a segregated prison. But the things he said are what convinced me, like the fact he could have let the guards make him mad. But he didn't. And instead, his actions changed the guard. Even the guard quoted Ghandi 'by our suffering will they know the depths of their mistakes'.

And when he said he decided that he could resent being in that prison and undergo that treatment, or he could just let it go and move on . . I don't know if I'd be able to do that in his place.

But its also a side of the story that has never been heard before. It's always been from the government's perspective. And the government has an interest in making sure that Khadr is seen as a threat to society, because their law and order anti-terrorism surveillance platform depends on that.

I have no more fear for Omar than I do for the white supremacist gangs that tormented him in prison. In fact, they represent a more immediate danger than he does, as far as public safety goes.
