The Saudis are major shareholders in NewsCorp, which owns FOX, and that's all anyone needs to know why FOX never criticizes the Saudis. And, in turn, it also explains why in 2002 and 2003 that FOX led the rush to war on Iraq, even though Iraq had nothing at all to do with the Sept 11 attacks but the Saudis had everything to do with the Sept 11 attacks.

As long as you guys are stuck in the false paradigm of left vs. right you'll never be able to see through any of this. More of a 'business is as business does' thing instead. The Saudis will out-bid the Yanks, or the Pakistanis will take money from both, lie to the Americans about all their weapons being secure, and give a nuke to Saudis anyway. It will somehow be 'lost' in transit and make a merry re-appearance a few months/years later when it turns half of Manhattan into fused glass. At which point both the American Admin and Congress will take the Saudis 'hey, it wasn't us' claims on face value and then proceed to paste Iran/North Korea/Venezuela/Montenegro/anyone but the Saudis into knee-deep tomato sauce based on the same 'inerrable' sort of intelligence that served them so well in 2003.

The sitcom wasn't all that entertaining the first time it was on TV. Having it return repackaged but with the same old flaws a second time won't be all that much fun either.
