My shots were tequila, and it was another 20 years before I could stomach even the smell or taste again.

Kahula and Malibu Rum. I still wretch at the scent of cocoanut.

Slivovice, the local Slovak plum liquor.

Brandy, rum all night, and then the slivko, and no dinner. 3 shots together as one shot, 3 times.
Managed to walk up the stairs from the bar, all 10 of them.

Then I fell over.
How they got me into the car, out of the car, up the steps to the apartment, I'll never know.

Can't look at it anymore, never mind smell it.

I'm really surprised that a French bar owner would let one of his patrons do something that moronic. The French, generally, have a far more grown-up attitude to alcohol. They drink a lot more of it but they don't tend to do it stupidly.
