I'd also like to criminalize things like cat-calling to the level of bodily threatening someone, perhaps a fine. A good strong social campaign to shame those actions would be lovely! Like smoking! "Stop yelling at fucking teenagers" would be a PSA I could get behind. "mind your own motherfucking business", "women are not prey", "she shouldn't need to say no", etc. I'd love to hear your reasons as to why that is unacceptable, since it most certainly isn't in your mind. I'd like to reiterate that telling girls to smile and yelling at them from cars is not endearing and serves little purpose other than to terrify that gender, and it seems to be the universal initiation right for women. 50 year old creeps putting their hand on their knee. Smile more. Does this disproportionally affect men? Yeah, it freaking might.
I hate the honking, the whistling and the overt sexual remarks... I mean, can't women just leave me alone when I'm taking my walks.
