Half these controversies were blown out of proportion. The Argentina one, if people honestly think they set that up they're stupid. The one with the racist nursery rhyme, was done by Piers Morgan who publicly hates Clarkson, had to manipulate the audio to catch what MIGHT have been something racist. He went looking for it.

The Burma special, that's people making a big deal about nothing. Shit I didn't even know that was racist term.

The Mexican comment was Hammond was it not?

Buncha pansies.

The pulling of the last 3 shows of the season makes no sense to me at all.

It's because they're taped every week. The studio parts and celebrity interviews at least.

Shhhh! Talk like that and a certain someone will be in here to remind us all that the British still rule the world. Somehow.

Britain was fine until the EU took to undermining the British constitution, literally and figuratively.

Britain's grip on the world was secure until they joined the whole "maybe brown people really are people" movement. That really limited their desire to brutally suppress local populations.

I think that being repeatedly stonked by the Germans and later the Japanese's had far more to do with it.

I'm going to have to disagree. He didn't have to finish off that nursery rhyme with an ending I hadn't heard before, and he didn't have to use a racial slur to describe the shitty bridge they built.

He tries to be provocative, I get it, but he doesn't always do it well. And think ultimately, his previous headaches caused for the BBC will end up costing him this time.

Can you say without a shadow of a doubt you can make out what Clarkson says in that audio? Cause I can't.

I didn't even know that was a racial slur. They said themselves they didn't realise it was offensive. Could be bullshit, but holy shit if the bridge was sloping, are we so politically correct we can't say slope anymore? Math classes everywhere are fucked. It's now the gradient of a line.

He does try to be provocative, but there are worse, much worse, that get away with it easily. Shit Tosh on his show says things 10X as bad. No one bats an eye. Or comparatively doesn't bat an eye.

He's not on a public broadcaster. You really want them to adopt the same standard as whatever channel Tosh is on? My guess is he's on a cable channel vs a broadcaster. Also no sure how an American show should be the standard for England.

Clarkson is being a clever Dick. And it's worked out well for him. Since he's been suspended for pushing a co-worker, not racist remarks, not sure why all the agony about the latter.

The Brits don't know what to make of a BBC broadcaster that isn't a kiddie-diddling Prevert.

Yeah he's on a cable show. Name me someone who has BBC and not Comedy Central?

When you're done that, find me someone who hasn't been made fun of on Top Gear. That's the other thing that makes me angry. They attack EVERYONE. They shit on the US at least once a show.

In this case, it looks like Clarkson threw a punch at a producer. Last time it was Piers Morgan. Reasonable response by the BBC because it involves violence against an employee. I'm sure we will find out why eventually, but past controversies are a fucking joke.
