This is Canada though, and like it or not, nudity is ataboo here. If the beach isn't expressly meant to be clothing optional people should respect that.
Wreck beach became nudity tolerant after mass protests and arrests. Of course the cops found it hard to charge nekkid people with no ID. It's a bit of a hike to get there, so out of the way. Now, it's just no big deal, and you will find many families there. (So I'm told, when I lived there in 1972 it was still mostly young people). I think the shenanigans actually decreased as the beach became more popular.
Let's do it like Europe. Put a fence down Skaha beach (ie the populated one) nudies on one side, clothies on the other. Of course the fence only goes to the waterline, so as soon as you walk out to swim, bada bing bada boom.
People are so silly about this stuff.
