I for one am looking forward to every single square inch of the Cuban coastline being turned into a sprawl of resorts, garish & ridiculous mini-mansions, and cocaine-built condos that only completely insufferable millionaires from the United States can afford. It'll be just like Florida: Part Deux.

You mean like what it was in the 50's ? [B-o]

Pretty much, except the current generation of pervs will make the old donkey show in the basement of the Hotel Nacionale look tame in comparison. 8O

So not much different than the states? Run by an oligarchy, except in the US they pretend to have elections?

The bravery is strong in this post.

Barack Obama thanks Canada for hosting Cuba-U.S. meetings

Canada did not participate in the substance of the discussions, but was indispensable in facilitating and hosting the discussions, an official said.

In his statement, Cuban President Raul Castro recognized the support of the Canadian government "for helping realize the high-level dialogue between the two countries."

NDP foreign affairs critic Paul Dewar thanked Canada's diplomatic corps for their hard work on the file.

“This is what diplomacy looks like — and Canada is very good at it," Dewar said in a written statement on Wednesday.

Just a little back patting, for those involved. :)

I've been to Florida and would love to go see Cuba! I hope things work out! Peace is always good news!

I am waiting for my wife's comment when she see's this. She is Cuban and from Cuba but raised by a USMC family at Gitmo and became a US Citizen and Marine, now Ret. Although she wont go the Island unless both Castro's are six feet or more under. Other then that she will go back to visit. Without that no visit. Right now she only cares about elevating PR to the 51st State.

I liked going to Cuba because I think it's the only country without a McD... except the one at Guantanamo Bay, but that don't count.

I hear Cuba is really nice, and one day I'd love to go to Havana and drink daiquiris in the same bar that Hemingway did, but I'm the same way as Vamp's wife. I won't go while the Castro's are in charge.
