Hey, we're ranked in the top 10 for impaired driving and robbery which is pretty cool since we don't have anywhere near 100K for a population.

So, it begs the question. If they're taking all our surrounding area in to get us over the 100K why don't they give the same fair treatment to Vancouver and lump all the municipalities crimes in the Lower Mainland into one big city crime stat.

Because, my guess is if they did that, the stat would look more like Sarajevo in the mid 90's than a one of the most livable cities in the World. ROTFL

Shit, it's your post and you didn't even read it:
$1:
Methodology: Maclean’s obtained annual crime data from Statistics Canada for municipal police services serving the nation’s 100 largest populations, each encompassing a city or town of at least 10,000 people. Using 2011 rates per 100,000 people for six crimes—homicide, sexual assault, aggravated assault, vehicle theft, robbery plus breaking and entering—Maclean’s calculated the percentage difference from the national rate.

I'm not sure you understand the idea of per capita very well. If they lumped all the areas together, they would be dividing the greater number of crimes by a greater number of people to come out with a very similar result. Let's just hope that whatever you did to keep our nation safe in the navy didn't involve math.

But don't let that stop you from one of your rants.

New Westminster at the top of the list for Cannabis possession.... ROTFL ROTFL .....I don't believe it.......

I'm also extremely surprised to see how low Surrey rates in all categories..... 8O 8O

I guess the cops in New West aren't as tolerant as the rest of lower mainland cops.

Here's a cool graph showing the worst places for each crime category. It's got everything from marijuana possession, New Westminster to Homicide, Red Deer.

Where Criminals go to play.

Civilization in Alberta stops where the 780 area code begins unfortunately. :|

I've never considered Calgary to be uncivilized, don't be so hard on yourself.

Maybe like the corrupt politicians, the cops in Quebec can be bribed into giving out 24 hr suspensions instead of a full on impaired driving charge..

Nope, the only people getting a free pass for impaired driving in Québec are the politicians and the cops. 8O

I won't, because levity is a word you don't seem capable of grasping. But, I guess in some strange way I should have expected this typical anti military left wing tirade especially since anything different would have shown an elevated sense of humour which, after reading your posts for the past 7 years is something you quite obviously lost during those formative years of protesting the military in that hotbed of peace, love, brotherhood and fraternity called 1960's Kitsilano.

As for your question about my career, suffice to say that, yes it did involve math but, obviously explaining why and what it was used for would be well above your pay grade. [B-o]

BTW for future reference if I use this emoticon ROTFL it usually indicates humour.
