I hate to say this but, considering how many and for how long our veterans have been utterly screwed by our various govts, I'm surprised it took this long for someone to snap.

Because they published the names as soon as they had them, showed the house where one lived with his father, interviewed the mother of the other one...

Of course you can argue that neither of those was involved in a court process to set a publication ban, and it's not as if the media is the one choosing not to publish this guys' name.

I agree but this guy must have been on the edge for a long time. Doesn't seem like he was in combat or possibly out of the country. Wasn't in for long and then tried to link his illness to a flu shot. If it wasn't for his wife this could have gone real bad for lots of people.

The interim publication ban will last for two weeks. There will be a full hearing on the ban after that period, as the judge wanted more time to prepare a decision. CBC plans to continue to fight the ban.

You should hate to say that. You don't go murder a bunch of innocent people because of a legitimate greiavnce.

So what? We know Vince Li's name, and he was found not guilty by reason of a mental disorder, isn't a convicted criminal (should be terrorist) as this man is. And what does this guys' mental state have to do with his wife needing protection?

This guy fits the definition of terrorist. He should not get any more kid glove treatment than if he had shouted Allah Snackbar.

Read the whole article or at least some of the quotes from it. Or by default assume people who more aware than you have the answer.

Doesn't answer about his wife, doesn't answer why if he's in hospital he needs protection or why he gets it but Li, et al didn't.

No more reason to assume people more aware have the answer here than in any court case where I disagree with the court rulings. talk about taking all the fun out of it.

And again, a lot of the posts on this forum are in the same vein - you're going to be awful busy unless there is something special about this case that's got you defending the decision so avidly.
