You must read closer Zip. We're talking about a particular region and ice for ice fishing. Remember how the Great Lakes were freezing up last winter, and there was still ice floating around in them this summer? That's what we're talking about. Ice for ice fishing in the Kawartha lakes region which I've never visited, but as I understand it is near the Great Lakes. It was cold. Open another thread to nitpick which records were relevent where if you like, but it's just diversion, isn't it? The guy said the ice was going or gone from that area preceding what we know was one of the most impressive years for Great Lakes ice in living memory.

Oh, and just for your information I've owned property in Victoria, BC since 1997 and I continue to pay taxes there. I've also supported the Legion with my own donations (which are not tax deductible for me) and my church annually takes a collection to send on to the Legion - we'll be doing this again on November 9th. I also support this site financially because I think it's a very special part of Canada that deserves to be supported.

Do I live in Canada? Not full time, no.

But do I care about Canada like it's my second home? Yes, because it is.
