Considering the Rams haven't finished a season above .500 since 2003 it's entirely possible they'd waste a low level pick in order to generate headlines that didn't have the word hopeless or disappointing in it.

Normally I would take exception to the suggestion that the CFL is for players who aren't "good enough" for the NFL or have a lower talent level. Look at the lack-lustre Ochocinco now with Montreal or when Ricky Williams was did fuck all with Toronto and it's easy to see it's different talents not talent level. Look at Cam Wake and Brandon Browner, Marcus Thigpen as a few CFLers who went the other way after NFL overlooked them.

Fully acknowledge that thanks to Ottawa expansion, one wouldn't think it this year though. Truly an abysmal CFL season so far by almost every measure.
