bootlegga bootlegga:
BRAH BRAH:
Target also had crap, if there's one benefit to this Tim Horton's will finanlly have better lids.

I think Target is okay, but nothing to rave about, but then that was my opinion after visiting them south of the border too. I certainly haven't seen the empty shelves most people complain about - just stores empty of customers.

I think Target's biggest problem isn't prices - I remember the disappointment that Wal-Mart prices didn't match those south of the border when they came in 1993 - the problem is that Target doesn't have much in the way of house brands, so they can't offer stuff that isn't already available elsewhere.

The problem I found was they had crap all like nothing which hasn't changed but hopefully will because I would rather shop there than Walmart as I haven't seen the people of Target...........yet! 8O

I can just see Tim Horton's getting "whizz-bang" American marketing geniuses thrust upon them to "show them show it's done" after all, nobody does anything better than the Americans.

"Roll up the Rim?" "You really do this?" We'd never do this! What a waste of money!"

"Roll up the rim!! HAAAW HAAAW HAAAW!!!"

"Get rid of it NOW and report to my office!!"

A year later, when market share is down to 15%,

"I told you, there was no value in Canada! Let's sell this turkey, Stat!!"

(I used to work for an American corp. that committed suicide in a very similar manner)

Once upon a time BK burgers really were flame broiled and served to you fresh....now they're nuked. Just like Tim's used to have fresh baked pastries, baked right there in the store. Now it's reheated frozen dough(Maybe Andy can verify the complete process) trucked in from a factory. Sounds like they were made for each other.
