Shock and disbelief...

I noticed a text a friend sent me in the mid-afternoon just after 8pm. I was still at work and got home just after 930 when I could go online to confirm that it was true.

I just can't believe it. There are few in the entertainment industry that I really admire and he was certainly one of them. I was fortunate enough to have seen him doing his live comedy performance back in 2002 or so in Vancouver. He was amazing.

RIP Robin and thank you for all you gave of yourself to all of us. My sincere condolences to his family.

Some chick walked in the store listen to FM radio with earphones and out of the blue just said "Robin Williams is dead", it took me a really long time to register that properly. I was hoping it was fake but no, boss Google'd it, said it was suicide...

A loss of a great, as can be seen by all the dismay...

Feels like it's about time for a Robin Williams marathon...

I know how you feel. When I first read it when I got home I hoped that it was someone's idea of a sick joke. Sadly it's not.

The obituary in the Guardian sums it up for me really well:
