He talks about resisting authority a lot, but never actually does anything. You know what they say - those that talk about it aren't doing it. He doesn't brag about all the sex he's having, so at least we can assume he's getting some. :)

Yet another tactic to maintain authority while doing nothing to protect the public.

Fully backed and authorized by that champion of human rights, the Ontario Liberal govt.

While I'm not a fan of really any current government, I doubt they have the authority to influence what RCMP decide to put on someone's 'record', and what they report on a record check. Only the Commissioner can do that.

It's not about the RCMP, it's about police services across Ontario. That includes provincial and municipal/regional police forces.
And in this case, the Ontario govt HAS the authority to prohibit the disclosure of something as innocuous as basic police contact, dropped charges or even wrongful arrest.

No offense, but where too many Canadians think it is obligatory to submit to whatever the hell they're told to submit to then it's no surprise that everyone who controls that kind of power abuses it.

None taken. All too many people I know would let the RCMP in if they knocked on their door and asked.

True enough, the OPP is definitely in their jurisdiction.

Hell, I would too.

If they asked.
