I care, because the government has certain responsibilities with respect to me, my fellow citizens and and our safety. And wasting time and resources protecting me from me is a waste of limited resources. Pretending that this legislation is really about protecting teens online is also an affront to our intelligence.

Then rioting may just be needed. Government needs to remember that it exists because we, the citizens, deem it necessary. With more and more places going to online voting, I can see a time when the government will spy on citizens one too many times and find itself replaced with a very small shell script on an e-voting website and all that will be left will be some intermediate bureaucrats and a few clerks to carry out what people tell them to.

Yes, I find myself more politically actiuve than I have been in years. As I've said before, government these days do not want to tell people what theya re up to but are intensely interested in every detail of what we are up to.
