"Earth Hour", what a friggin' joke. A bunch of people fooling themselves that they are actually doing anything beyond the symbolic.

Well, I did I for the sake of my elementary school kid who still follows things like this.

He has a whole lifetime of cynicism ahead of him. However impractical the idea of a "Earth Hour" maybe, I'm not in the habit of busting an eleven-year-olds rather harmless balloons. If there were an urgent reason to tell him that "Earth Hour" is a crock, I would do so.

Don't need to power down. My house outside San Antonio has it's own grid via Solar Arrays. I sell excess power to the liquor store down the block, never run out of Rum or import beer.
