They should have sold the High Commissionaire and kept the mansion. It would have been cheaper.

Spent a year working in that building in 2000/2001 was well located accross from the US (Monstrosity) Embassy. Use to have a coffee on the roof and watch the protests outside of the US Embassy with a casual wave to the Marines on duty. Thought it was all fun and games until I had to deal with an anti seal hunt protest. The Mission moving to Trafalgar Square is a good thing it is a beautiful building.
