Toronto Deputy Mayor Doug Holyday, Rob Ford’s top ally in city council, now says that he believes that a reporter saw a video of the mayor allegedly smoking crack cocaine, but in an apparent contradiction, also believes Ford’s denial that such a video exists. But Holyday also said he doesn’t believe the mayor is lying — who has repeatedly said no video exists — which three journalists at two news organizations have claimed to see.
“I have talked [Toronto Star reporter] Robyn [Doolittle] and I do believe her,” Holyday told reporters Tuesday. “I’d like to see the video to see what she say and I’d like to have a professional analysis of that to determine what exactly what it is.”
“No, the mayor is not lying at all. I believe Robyn Doolittle saw a video, but I’m not sure how authentic the video is,” Holyday said.
