Yep. Nothing like picking a fight with the people you hope come to your aid.

Just like BC always picking a fight with Alberta over resources and pipelines.

I'm waiting for just one Province to step up and say, "Hey Alberta, we can get by without our welfare cheque this year, spend your money on those that no longer have a home to go back to.

And I'm holding my breath.

Keep holding your breath.

God, I remember when Alberta and their neighbour BC used to be buds. Now you brag like Toronto and whine like Quebec.

Yeah fuck, everything is shifting west isn't it, we know the West coast is now the center of the fucking Universe, hey?

Fuck you Zipperhead

I have no problem fixing roads and bridges and such with tax dollars. But I have to question the wisdom of spending money to fix buildings that were built in a possible flood area. Alberta isn't like Manitoba where most of the land is in a flood area no matter what.

No one wants to listen to the engineer that says this plot of land is in a potential flood location and you shouldn't build anything on it that can not stand being flooded / washed away / covered in a few meters of mud.

And everyone that lives in High River, have you still not learned why that town is called High River?

~

Anyway glad that so few people were killed, and now we get to see part of the broken window fallacy in action.

Probably something to do with all the Ontarians and Quebecers who've moved here in the last decade...

How quickly the ROC forgets how much Alberta sends to Ottawa every year.

A lot of them still think Alberta is on the dole from Ottawa.

I'm pretty sure almost no one thinks that. Not with the way we make sure they all know how much we send east every year.
