I am sure by now that Russian Intelligence has questioned Mr. Snowden. They would be idiots not to ask him about his knowledge of any electronic surveillance program the U.S. has on Russia, or any other spying that is going on.

Mr. Putin has made it clear that Russia will not extradite Mr. Snowden. I believe Mr. Snowden has refused an offer for asylum in Russia. He wants to be someplace where he doesn't have to look over his shoulder. He definitely needs to be concerned for his well being. At the same time, he doesn't necessarily want to be someplace where no one officially knows his whereabouts. This way if he were to say, er ... have a little mishap, no one would know.
