Why anyone besides the Mafia wants to do business in Quebec is beyond me.


Amen. Back when I worked for Intel we looked at doing a purchase from a vendor in Quebeck but then they insisted that all of the contracts had to be exclusively in French. We ended up doing business elsewhere but I'm sure they were satisfied in having shown a mean American corporation who was the boss. :wink:

Hate to say, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the firm. They produced imaging equipment that Intel wanted to use for producing flash memory and Intel ended up going with an Italian firm instead. The Italian firm was ST Microtechnology (or something like that). It's been nine years and my part in this was centered on process validation, not so much the contractual end of it.
