Agreed, a festering shithole in upstate New York that isn' worth stopping for gas.

Not even comparable to the south or even the deep south. Folks there are very friendly, and courteous and this type of behavior is unheard of.

Pretty sad when a teacher bullies his student - it doesn't sound like he's deserving of his job or much of a role model for his students.

As an American originally from the Gulf coast, I can't say I've ever heard much anti-Canadian sentiment at all. Being from the South, I'm used to hearing regional putdowns: north v. south, and everybody jokes about Californians and Texans, and snowbirds (but that includes folks from the northern US as well as Canada).

Seems that most invective is reserved for Muslims and Mexicans. But nothing about Canadians.
