It's different because the commanders of the mutt in Syria approve of what their soldier did. The American in question was arrested and prosecuted by his commanders and now he may also receive the death penalty.

Not really insulting. If anything, the western soldier who does this could be called worse than the mutts because the mutts were raised in a moral wasteland whereas the soldier is not and the profession of arms does not approve it.

In other words, the 'mutt' is doing what he was 'trained' to do. The western soldier disregarded his upbringing and military ethos to carry out the task.

What command does is irrelevant.

No, his post was deleted for being a continuation of what I have attempted to ignore and tolerate for months. It has hit the point where I was torn between taking another multi-month break from the forum as a direct result of it or to start reporting the constant abuse by him against me. I like to think I have a thick skin but I will only tolerate being called a moron and having my opinions repeatedly insulted at any chance for so long. I have decided not to insult back but from this point will not ignore the abuse either.

The fact that he is getting repped for what amounts to schoolyard bullying astounds me, no wonder this forum has such a hard time retaining members when people are insulted for their opinions without any attempt at a debate over it and then see the bully getting repped for it.

Too bad really, considering I never insulted the armed forces. I simply used them as a comparison to show that people from good backgrounds, from free countries, have months of training, and with court system ready to prosecute them still commit murder in war. But the Syrians are being expected to act as good or better than our own forces despite the fact they were raised in a dictatorship where the court system has ceased to exist, they have next to no training, and they further lack a unified leadership as the rebels are a collection of rebel groups.
