You see, that's why I don't like the Leafs, their fans get cocky and obnoxious when the team wins... luckily, it doesn't happen very often.

Coming from another guy who's team's already golfing. [B-o]

I'm a Bruins guys so I'm not sure where that comment came from...especially considering I've been ribbing the Canucks fans on here for years.

Just teasing and thought you were a Leafs fan.

I don't take this sports stuff too seriously anyways, I think I prefer the trash talking.

Boston has to score early on Reimer tonight. The more he stops the more he gets into the Bruins heads, if he isn't already. :(

Good to hear! Win or lose, I'll just find another series to watch and follow during the playoffs.

I love hockey in general and can watch just about any game.

Both he and Rask are playing well, Reimer doing just a little bit better because the team in front of him has made some mistakes that young players tend to make and he's had to come up huge!

Although, that Rask glove save last night was awesome!

It'll be an exiting game to watch!

I always enjoy it when the trash talking is just good natured fun. Years ago when I was still delivering pizzas, I rolled up to a house where the guy made it pretty obvious he was a Montreal fan. I was wearing my Maple Leafs cap and jersey. When buddy answered the door, he quickly looked me up and down and said, "Oh geez, if I knew they were going to send a Leafs fan to deliver my pizza, I wouldn't have bothered ordering".
To which I replied, "If I had known I was delivering to a Montreal fan, I would have spit on the pizza".
We both laughed and he handed me a generous tip.

Being a Habs fan, I would have taken a hot dump on his pizza....but that's just me

I wouldn't agree with that.

Quel suprise.

I guess expecting a little bit of hockey chat without the little jabs was too high of a goal to set.

You would get jabs at hockey talk during a Mensa meeting, so lower those goals!

Well, there but for the ability to keep the puck out of your net for two minutes go my poor Leafs. At least when we say there's always next year we can say it with some optimism. What's even worse is I just realized the only thing I have to look forward to is the Jays until the Argos' preseason starts. Oh the horror!

The Leafs should be proud. Nobody expected them to have a chance let alone get to game 7. They did very well; just had some bad luck in the last 10 minutes and some poor efforts.

Unfortunatley, the last 10 minutes had very little to do with luck, good or bad, and everything to do with the Leafs letting up on the gas peddle. THis has been a common theme for the Leafs for YEARS when they've had a 2-3 goal lead or more in a game.
Boston was tired. They were beat and they were down to like 3 1/2 defensemen and Toronto sat back and let the Bruins come at them in those last 10 minutes, and when the puck did make it into the Boston zone, only one forechecker went in.

That last 10 minutes showed in micrcosm why the Leafs have been so unsuccessful for so many years. :|

I'm a soccer guy, but it seemed to me that Carlyle seemed to prepossesed with having fresh legs for the last few minutes. Consequently, there were so many Toronto shift changes that they were basically just dumping it in and giving Boston the red line with speed over and over again.

That and the Superman syndrome--the one talented, guts guy--Lucic in this case--who decides to carry the whole team on his back.

Boston has been in a ton of Game 7s. The upside for the Leafs is that this crew won't make that mistake again.

Certainly helped atone for his rather lacklustre play during the regular season. Good to see the Bergeron line get on the scoreboard, Boston needs them to contribute if the wish to get past the Rangers.

Man I hope not. Various Leafs teams have shown through the years that they are far too often incapable of playing well with a 2-3 goal lead.

A friend of ours was over watching the game and was feeling pretty comfortable when it was 4-1. With 10 minutes left he was already talking about them facing the Rangers in the next round. I said, "Slow down, the game isn't over yet".
When he said it was pretty much over I suggested he hadn't been a Leafs fan for very long then
