Okay, it does. He opposes armed guards at the public schools while he sends his kids to a school that has paramilitaries guarding it. And then his kids get a Secret Service detail, too.

Obviously, Sidwell Friends school is NOT a gun free zone.

All told, there's around forty to fifty heavily armed paramilitaries and Secret Service guarding that school.

Any question that what happened at Newtown would be utterly impossible to occur at Sidwell Friends?

I'd consider that acceptable. I'd also disarm the police.

So long as the gun banners accept the same risks they impose on others I'd be a lot more cooperative on the topic. Really.

Our root issue is not guns but freedom and liberty. I want the freedom and liberty to be able to defend myself and I also want others to have the freedom and liberty to go about unarmed if that pleases them. They should not need to give anyone an explanation of their decision aside from, "This is my right and if you don't like it then sod off."
