Saw this on the news tonight and had to laugh my ass off. Best Buy had some dimwitt spokesman explaining that all warranty, repair and other issues would be taken care of, just at different Best Buy locations so no one would have a problem.
Trouble is they closed all 3 Vancouver Island Locations. So I guess if you have a warranty, repair or other issue with a Best Buy Product you'll have to hop on a BC Ferry pay hundreds of dollars and go to the Mainland to deal with it.
Maybe they should invest a bit of the money they're saving from fucking their staff over into a map app for their dumb phone so they can discover that Vancouver Island isn't a 10 minute drive to Richmond.
And don't say Future Shop will pick up the slack because as been explained to me a thousand times by the staff in both stores. They may be owned by the same corporation but they are completely seperate entities.
